You'll Never Know How A Day Unfolds 1.31.2018

It started out like any normal day.  My husband was working out of town.  I have been fighting allergic reactions for a little over a week so I asked my Sis-law to come stay with me overnight (just in case).  She had already left for work, and the kids and I started our day.  Sippys and a bottle with animal cookies for breakfast!  I had an iced mocha! Yum!! :)  I left them eating "breakfast" watching Thomas the Train while I grabbed a nice hot shower!  Peter, the kids and I talked back and forth thru text and Marco Polo.  Everything was coming along, 4 tire blowouts was totally normal. :0   After lunch the kids all went down for a nap!  Peace!  That last for a few seconds.  Peter called me and calmly informed me, "There has been a wreck!"

  • The wind caught the house and blew it over (1 piece of a double wide)
  • Dad's Semi truck blew over as well
  • I pulled Dad out and he seems fine, he's walking around
  • Keep it to yourself since only Mom knows at this point
  • I have no idea when I'll be home
All I could do is pray and then pray some more!  So I did!

I'm so grateful God protected my Father-in-law!  All the equipment is totalled, so they are rushing to find another truck.  Praying that they find something quickly and for a good price!

On a less interesting note, my Dr is wanting me to keep a food log to pin point this allergy.  I think my half diet days are coming to a halt!  :0  I've stopped snacking as of yesterday! lol

Texas Visitor 1.26.2018

My Mom came to see me!  We all had a blast!  The kids loved the constant attention!  Mostly we just hung out at the house.  Tuesday we shopped for house decor and a few groceries.  (I can't wait for Peter to hang up everything we got!)  Friday we took a day trip to Kalispell, MT just for Chick-Fil-A.  :0

The only picture we took...

Projects 1.18.2018

Anybody else messy when they do projects?  I finally finished cleaning/scraping 20 years of grime off the last bit of cabinets.

I also re-organized 10 totes full of Baby clothes from the garage!  The kids tried to help :0

My Devotions 1.12.2018

What is your favorite way to have devotions?  Since becoming a Mom, devotional time varies, every single day! :0  I used to set big goals for myself and never reach them!  I finally had to learn to just "Do What You Can Do."  My main goal is to make it count!  You could read chapters of the Bible and pages of a devotional book, but did you actually carry it with you throughout the day or night?  A verse a day memorized is better than not retaining anything from your chapters.  After a years time you could have 365 verses memorized, or lots of reading time with little to show for it.

My prayer time happens just about anywhere, driving alone, living room couch and mostly my bed.  I would love to sip coffee and do my praying, Bible reading and devotional book all at once.  But a full time Mom don't usually get those options so I usually have to spread it out throughout the day.  I seem to pray all day and then manage to get a chapter or verses in at various times of the day.  So I do have a favorite way, It's just not a normal.

This year and past year(s), I'm working on getting through the Bible Chronologically.  I have it on paper, but I mostly use an app on my phone.  I can easily keep track and the kids can't move my book marker! :)  As a secondary, I'm reading Surgeon's Morning and Evening devotional.  This is an 'extra' that I'm trying out.  It's definitely not a daily read, but very eye opening when I get the extra time.

Fact:  My husband is going through Sparkling Gems by Rick Renner.

What are your favorite devotional resources?
