My Devotions 1.12.2018

What is your favorite way to have devotions?  Since becoming a Mom, devotional time varies, every single day! :0  I used to set big goals for myself and never reach them!  I finally had to learn to just "Do What You Can Do."  My main goal is to make it count!  You could read chapters of the Bible and pages of a devotional book, but did you actually carry it with you throughout the day or night?  A verse a day memorized is better than not retaining anything from your chapters.  After a years time you could have 365 verses memorized, or lots of reading time with little to show for it.

My prayer time happens just about anywhere, driving alone, living room couch and mostly my bed.  I would love to sip coffee and do my praying, Bible reading and devotional book all at once.  But a full time Mom don't usually get those options so I usually have to spread it out throughout the day.  I seem to pray all day and then manage to get a chapter or verses in at various times of the day.  So I do have a favorite way, It's just not a normal.

This year and past year(s), I'm working on getting through the Bible Chronologically.  I have it on paper, but I mostly use an app on my phone.  I can easily keep track and the kids can't move my book marker! :)  As a secondary, I'm reading Surgeon's Morning and Evening devotional.  This is an 'extra' that I'm trying out.  It's definitely not a daily read, but very eye opening when I get the extra time.

Fact:  My husband is going through Sparkling Gems by Rick Renner.

What are your favorite devotional resources?
